10 Must-See York Attractions in 2026
There really is so much to see and do around our fabulous City of York. A week’s holiday would be lovely, but if you don’t have that long, do take a look at Visit York’s guide to the 10 ‘Must See Attractions’ in York. The very good news, if you are staying at York Caravan Park, is that all of the city’s top attractions are within walking distance of the Coastliner bus stops at Stonebow and York Railway Station.
You would not wish to miss York’s imposing Minster which has dominated the city’s skyline for centuries. Be amazed by the beautiful panoramic views from a Minster tower tour.
Second among the ‘must see’ venues is Cliffords Tower, sometimes known as York Castle (pictured). York Castle Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre are closeby. York National Railway Museum comes next in the TOP 10 visitor attractions:
Much of York’s history can be seen along the River Ouse and there’s no better way to see and learn about that than on a York Boats City Cruise. Tours leave the Kings Staith and York Museum quays throughout the day and evening.
So, if your schedule only allows a short holiday, do stay with us. York Caravan Park is the city park with a country park atmosphere and you won’t feel cramped.
