York Caravan Park is a dog friendly caravan park with all the facilities to keep your dog happy on holiday. We’re just 2 miles from York centre in a countryside setting with an on-site fenced dog walk. There are also large grassed areas around a decorative lake. Convenient dog waste bins are located around the site.

A Guide to Dog Friendly Attractions, Cafes and Pubs in York
In addition to the park’s on-site dog-walk, the Millennium Way footpath is just to the left of York Caravan Park entrance.
Dogs travel FREE on York Bus Coastliner services between York, Leeds and Whitby. The buses stop at the park entrance.
If you’re planning on eating out, there’s two dog friendly pubs nearby, the The Fox Inn on Stockton Lane or The Walnut Tree in Heworth.
York Castle permits dogs. It is also the starting point for Dick Turpin’s Dog Walk.
York Castle Museum and Gaol only admits guide dogs.
Dogs are welcomed at York Museum Gardens on the riverside at Lendal Bridge. Only guide dogs may be taken inside York Museum buildings.
Another riverside walk starts at Skeldergate Bridge (close to Coppergate bus-stop) along the River Ouse and into Rowntree Leisure Park. From there it’s a short distance to York Racecourse (Knavesmire) where you can let your dogs run freely (except on racedays).
Dogs are not permitted on any of the York City Walls.
