What could be more of a holiday treat than a relaxing York City Cruise along the River Ouse in the beautiful City of York. York City Cruises offer a full schedule of morning, afternoon and evening cruises varying between 45mins and 1 hour. Each of the vessels feature fully enclosed, heated saloons in addition to open air viewing decks which give the best views of the city. A full bar and refreshment service is available on each sailing. Popular cruises sail to Clifton Bridge in the North and return passing the Museum Gardens, Lendal, Ouse and Skeldergate bridges and Rowntree Park before turning back to the city at Millenium Bridge to the South. Along the way, you’ll see the historic Council House, Kings Staith, York Castle & Gaol and the Foss Lock.

York Boat crews are very friendly so you’ll benefit from an informative and, usually amusing, commentary along the trip. Cruises sail from Lendal Bridge and Kings Staith. Take the bus from York Caravan Park entrance, alight at Stonebow and it’s a 5 minute walk along Coppergate to reach the river at Kings Staith.

Please note: dogs are allowed on York City Cruisers, though must be kept on a short lead.
