Flying Scotsman Returns to York 2020

Flying Scotsman returns to steam at York Railway Museum

Flying Scotsman, probably the World’s favourite steam locomotive, returned to the tracks at York in 2017 after a 10 year, £4.2m overhaul. As champion of the London North Eastern Railway’s crack London to Edinburgh expresses, Flying Scotsman first travelled at 100mph in 1934. It has subsequently been certified for today’s mainline running at 100mph.
This article lists dates when you can watch this legend of steam haul an express…out from under the great canopy of York Railway Station.
