10 Must-See York Attractions in 2024

Cliffords Tower, York Castle

There really is so much to see and do around our fabulous City of York. A week’s holiday would be great, but if you can’t stay that long, take a look at Visit York’s guide to the 10 ‘Must See Attractions’ in York. The very good news, if you are staying at York Caravan Park, is that all of York City’s top attractions are within walking distance of the Coastliner bus stops at Stonebow and York Railway Station.

You would not want to miss York’s imposing Minster which dominates the skyline of the city. Be amazed by the panoramic views from a Minster tower tour.

Second among the ‘must see’ venues is Cliffords Tower, sometimes known as York Castle (pictured above). York Castle Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre are nearby. York’s National Railway Museum comes next in the TOP 10 visitor attractions:

Much of York’s history can be seen along the River Ouse and there’s no better way to see and learn about that than on a York Boats City Cruise. Tours leave the Kings Staith and York Museum quays throughout the day.

So, if your schedule only allows a short stop-over, do stay with us. York Caravan Park is the city park where there’s a country park atmosphere and you won’t feel crowded.
